Hi, I'm Jessica, the face behind RhodesMUA.

For over 12 years, I’ve been bringing smiles to my local community through hair styling, makeup artistry, and face painting. From a young age, I’ve been passionate about being part of something bigger than myself; connecting with people, supporting my community, and working collaboratively with others.

My journey began by providing face painting services at charitable events across Essex and helping families celebrate special occasions such as birthdays. As demand for Special Effects makeup grew, I recognised an opportunity to expand my skills and meet the needs of my clients.

Never one to shy away from a challenge, I took on three jobs to fund an intensive training course at The Iver Academy, based at Pinewood Studios. This experience marked the beginning of my career in Film and Television, where I worked as a freelance makeup artist for four years.

During my time in the industry, I gained invaluable practical experience, built a strong professional network, and developed the organisational and administrative skills needed to run a successful business. Since then, I’ve focused more on local work, travelling to beautiful wedding venues and helping clients create unforgettable memories across Essex, Kent, and London.

I feel incredibly privileged to play a part in life’s special moments, support people’s personal and professional milestones, and contribute to causes that help those less fortunate.
